VCHSG Entertaining & Informative Demo today

Some wonderful artists offer our guilds insightful and useful new resources each month.  This month I was treated by two offerings by the same artist.   Learning the various techniques from around the world is one of the biggest enjoyments I get from being a member in these guilds.   This month Anna Zinsmeister, a very talented and knowledgeable fiber artist.  Card weaving was demonstrated and taught earlier this month and today, a look into ravenstale robe weaving was presented.

Too bad you didn't stick around for the workshop. Anna taught us how to warp and weave on an Inkle loom. Its very satisfying and quick. I have been wanting to take a class with her ever since I sat next to her at a spin demo @ the Huntington Library two years ago. She's very thoughtful and talented!

I did take her workshop on the 9th of this month at the SCHG and got to work with Anna on card weaving. I'll wait for inkle when i have a loom for it. She is amazing.
